KIIT-DU Empowers Future Tech Leaders with Young Innovators STEM Lab (YISL)
KIIT Deemed to be University recently took a significant leap in fostering global innovation by hosting the Young Innovators STEM Lab (YISL) on 29th March 2026. This intensive, hands-on workshop was organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of KIIT and backed by a powerhouse international collaboration, including the U.S. Department of State, the Indo-U.S. Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF), and STEAM Varsity. The workshop aimed to foster creativity, technical exploration, and entrepreneurial spirit.
Moving beyond traditional classroom learning, participants from the KIIT School of Technology, KiiT International School, and KISS were immersed in a dynamic “Startup Studio” environment.
During the inaugural ceremony, Prof. (Dr.) Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar, KIIT-DU, emphasized the critical need for hands-on experience in AR/VR. He highlighted how these technologies can be harnessed for societal benefit and urged students to maximize these opportunities to enhance their future-ready skill sets.


The workshop was led by a distinguished team of experts from STEAM Varsity, ensuring participants received top-tier technical guidance from Mr. Dharam Raj Panwar (Co-founder), Mr. Paras Deshmukh (Makerspace Officer), Mr. Mohammad Mustafa Ghazi (R&D Head), Mr. Yaman Yadav (Intern, STEAM Varsity), Mr. Kshitij Lariwal (Intern, STEAM Varsity), and Mr. Swayam (Young Maker & Volunteer, STEAM Varsity).
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Siddharth Swarup Rautaray, Dean of IQAC, who expressed gratitude to the resource persons, participants, and organizing committee members for their commitment to driving technical excellence.
