The Director General-KIIT Prof. (Dr) Padmakali Banerjee was invited as a distinguished speaker, moderator and panellist to represent at the #BWSmartUniversityConclave 2026 — one of India’s premier gatherings of education policymakers, university leaders, and technology innovators. Remarkably, this landmark event brought together some of the brightest minds shaping the future of Indian higher education.

Speaking and moderating an imposing session Prof. (Dr.) Padmakali Banerjee FRSA, underscored on the theme “A billion dreams, one destiny — leading the world by 2047.” She deliberated onViksit Bharat 2047 which is India’s transformative roadmap to evolve from a developing economy into a developed, inclusive, and globally influential nation within a single generation — India’s definitive answer to the question: “What kind of country do we want to be at 100?”

The session explored actionable pathways for positioning Indian universities on the world stage by 2047.
