KIIT Career Advisory & Augmentation Services Organizes Live Webinar on “Cracking UPSC@IAS/IPS”

A Webinar titled ‘Cracking UPSC@IAS/IPS’ was organized by Career Advisory Augmentation & Services (CAAS), KIIT Deemed to be University. Distinguished speakers shared strategy and tips with the aspiring students for success in UPSC Civil Services Exam.

The speakers included: Mr. Amartya Bannerjee, IRS (Rank 524 in 2016), Assistant Financial Adviser, Northern Railway Headquarters, New Delhi; Mr. Parampreet Singh, a renowned faculty, author & expert in the field of World History, Indian Economy with 25 years of experience teaching ICS aspirants; Mr. Chandra Shekhar Yadav, Expert faculty in Current Affairs & IR with specialization on ICS Interviews; Er. Abhigyan Singh, KIIT Alumnus (Mechanical Engineering), now in a senior position in Govt. of India; and Dr. Saranjit Singh, Director, Industry Engagement, KIIT and others.

The webinar was organized to aware and orient UPSC aspirants of KIIT-DU and create a customized roadmap for engineering graduates. Experts reiterated that engineering students crack the UPSC exam easily due to the pedagogical methods they experience in their four-year engineering studies. This provides them with a stronger analytical aptitude as compared to other graduates, they added.

Er. Abhigyan Singh encouraged the engineering students to aspire for ICS, pointing  out that several KIITians are in the services today. Dr. Saranjit Singh interacted with the students highlighting the dream of Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS to see more KIITians in the civil services.

The webinar started with the welcome address by Dr. Priyadarshi Biswal, Dean CAAS, while the context was set up by Dr. Suman Bhattacharya, Director, CAAS. Dr. Dipak Rout coordinated the session and proposed the vote of thanks.
