International Conference on “Marching Beyond the Libraries: Managerial Skills and Technological Competencies”
Two days International Conference on the theme “Marching Beyond the Libraries: Managerial Skills and Technological Competencies” conducted by KIIT Deemed to be University was inaugurated on 16th November, 2018
The Conference was inaugurated by Prof. Hrushikesha Mohanty, Vice Chancellor, KIIT Deemed to be University; Prof. (Dr.) Rosan Lal Raina, Vice Chancellor, J. K. Laxmipat University; Prof. B. Ramesh Babu, University of Madras; Dr. Wathmanel Seneviratne, Librarian, Open University of Srilanka, Colombo; Prof. M. G. Sreekumar, IIM, Kozikhode and Prof. A. K. Sen, Chairman, Central Library Committee, KIIT Deemed to be University.
Prof. Hrushikesh Mohanty highlighted the importance of the conference based on a burning theme. He invoked library professionals to march beyond and with the library. Prof. Raina pointed out how communication plays a crucial role while addressing managerial skills and technological competencies.
Prof. Ramesh Babu highlighted key facets of the conference. Prof. Sreekumar was candid enough to unfold some of the important traits of the theme of the conference highlighting its impact and influence. Dr. Wathmanel Seneviratne, of Srilanka expressed her praise and admiration for Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) and promised to carry the story and message of this great tribal institution to her country.
