The program, funded by the National Board for Higher Mathematics (NBHM), Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India, is being held from December 23 to 28, 2024. Additionally, the Department is also celebrating “Mathematics Week” to mark the 137th birth anniversary of the legendary mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan.

Forty six bright and aspiring students across the country were selected from 170 applications after rigorous scrutiny, as a part of the program. These students, primarily in their second year of B.Sc. programs have demonstrated exceptional promise in mathematics. Over the next six days, they will delve into Foundations, Real Analysis and Linear Algebra guided by some of the finest mathematicians of the country: Prof. Ajit Kumar from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai, Prof. Arindama Singh from IIT Madras, and Dr. Kiran Kumar Behera from VIT Bhopal. They will also be guided by two mentors, Dr. Satyajit Sahoo, Post Doc Fellow IIT Bhubaneswar and Mr. Manmohan Sahu, PhD Scholar NISER Bhubaneswar.
