India TREK Delegation Returns, Cherishing Sweet Memories
A 40-member delegation from Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), who were on a week-long visit to KIIT and KISS as part of the India TREK invitational program, returned on 12th January, 2025 after completing all the programs.
The KIIT and KISS Founder, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, felicitated them at a special ceremony and presented them with certificates.
They visited various departments and units of KIIT and interacted with students of both KIIT and KISS. They also spoke to the students of these universities at length and had a constructive engagement with them. The group included former students of Harvard University and current students.
The visit was attended by alumni of Harvard and MIT. One of the main objectives of their visit was to learn about the art, culture, heritage, socio-economic status of India, especially Odisha, and exchange of knowledge. They took great Interest in Odisha art, culture and traditions. The delegation also thanked Dr. Samanta, Founder of KIIT and KISS, for such efforts.
The special ceremony was attended by Ashok Kumar Parija, Chancellor, KIIT DU; Prof. Sharanjit Singh, KIIT VC; Prof. Amareshwar Gala, Pro-VC, KISS DU and Prof. Deepak Behera, VC, KISS DU, among others. They also interacted with the India TREK delegation.
