Independence Day Celebrated at KIIT & KISS
The 73rd Independence Day was celebrated in KIIT Deemed to be University, Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), KiiT International School and Kalinga Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS). Prof. Hrushikesh Mohanty, VC, KIIT Deemed to be University hoisted the National Flag in KIIT while, Mr. Prabhakant Jha, IRS, Chief Commissioner of Income Tax, International Taxation hoisted the National Flag in KISS.
Addressing the KISS students, Mr. Jha said, our country is the country of youths. Youths are the future of our country. We should guide them and make use of their skill in right way so that, they can lead the country in right path and impel it to a new height. We always should follow cleanliness in our environment, he added.
Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS said, this year we are celebrating 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. The motto of Mahatma Gandhi has been fulfilled in KISS. He was always dreaming for upliftment of down trodden, underprivileged and poorest of the poor people of the society.
Among others, Sri R. N. Dash, Secretary, KIIT & KISS; Prof. Harekrishna Satapathy, VC, KISS Deemed to be University and Dr. P.K. Routray, CEO, KISS were present on the occasion. Besides, student delegates from German, Ghana, Japan and US also joined the Flag hoisting ceremony in KISS.
