ICDCIT 2022 Inaugurated at KIIT
The 18th International Conference on Distributed Computing and Intelligent Technology (ICDCIT) 2022 was inaugurated at KIIT Deemed to be University on 20th January 2022. ICDCIT, hosted by KIIT, has been a gateway for 18 years now for all the scholars, students, and researchers worldwide to exchange their ideas and thoughts in different fields of distributed computing and intelligent technology. This year the conference started on 19th January 2022 with its inauguration ceremony on the evening of 20th January 2022.
The inaugural session was graced by Prof. (Dr.) Sasmita Samanta, Vice-Chancellor, KIIT-DU; Prof. (Dr.) Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar; Prof. (Dr.) Biswajit Sahoo, Director, KIIT School of Computer Engineering; and Dr. Swarup Mohalik, General Chair, Research Scientist, Ericsson, Bangalore, ICDCIT-2022. They appreciated the organizing committee of ICDCIT and enlightened on the achievements of KIIT and KISS.
It was followed by the virtual inauguration of the 18th ICDCIT proceeding and all its satellite events’ proceedings- 12th Industry Symposium – a platform for the undergraduates to showcase their research work, 1st Ph.D. Research Symposium- an opportunity for the Ph.D. students to put forward their research articles and 11th Project Innovation Contest (PIC) – a stage for the student community to present innovative projects which address the prevailing problems of society. The inaugural ceremony concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Subhasis Dash, Organizing Chair, ICDCIT-2022.
Cultural program featured a melodious performance by Arijit Bhattacharya who played Raag Khamaj on Sitar followed by a graceful semi-classical group dance edited by Navarash and performed by Prapti Roy, Kiranpravo Paul, Ritika Chakraborthy, Megha Chowdhury, Answesha Sahoo, Debasmita Sinha, Anushka Satpathy and Abhipsa Saha. The participants enjoyed Monta Re, a classical song performed by Joyeta Mondal Kotha. To keep up the enthusiasm in the air, classical dance was performed by Navarash Group of Korus, the Society of Music and Dance, KIIT-DU. Next, a song was sung on Heer Ranjha by Ritoja Basu which won hearts of the participants. The cultural program ended with the final classical dance performance by Kaulina Chakraborty on the song Ghar More Pardesiya. The performers were admired for their entertaining shows.
The organizers expressed gratitude to Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS for his perennial support and guidance to all chapters of ICDCIT. The event was hosted by Shilpi Raj and Mayank Kumar.
