“Guru is always inspirational and irreplaceable.”

Now a days, even the most sought after search engine on the internet ‘Google‘ can never replace a guru(teacher). Though Google is intelligent and can be useful in so many ways, however Guru is the most precious source of inspiration for all of us and will be held in high esteem, said His Excellency Vice-President of India Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu while addressing KIIT University’s 13th Annual Convocation Ceremony here on 11th November,2017.

The Vice President remarked

“We are in the age of LPG – Liberalization, Privatization and Globalization”.

Addressing the students he said, “life has become very competitive in nature. Until and unless you have great skills, you can’t succeed in competitions. That is why, upgrading your knowledge is the need of the hour. Always keep your eyes, ears and mind open as well as collect and connect with the facts” he informed.

Shri. Naidu also said, “you must again go back to your roots and  strive on whatsoever you choose. Do your duty properly. If you work hard and have discipline, vision and dream, then definitely you will succeed in your life.  Speak the truth, practice the virtue and don’t’ give up learning as learning is a continuous process” he elucidated.

He advised the students to lay due importance to four things i.e. Mother, Mother-tongue, Motherland and Guru(teacher). He opined that there is nothing wrong in learning English or any other language,  but at the same time you must be proficient and efficient to grasp your mother tongue so that you can express your thoughts smoothly. He made it clear that Bhavna(thoughts)and Bhasa(language) often go in tandem.

The Vice President extolled Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT & KISS, for his splendid and gallant endeavor in creating such excellent institutions. “I had earlier addressed the 25,000 tribal students of KISS, which had given me immense pleasure,” he added.
