Dr. Mona Lisa Bal Conferred with International Honor
Dr. Mona Lisa Bal, Chairperson of KiiT International School has been conferred with a rare honor by the NRI Welfare Society (UK chapter). She received the Mahatma Gandhi Leadership Award from the NRI Welfare Society on 11th October in the House of Commons of Parliament in London, England. Dr. Bal earned the recognition for her exceptional contribution in the field of education and societal welfare.
The recipients of this award are chosen after very careful scrutiny and Dr. Bal is among twenty five such awardees from across the globe. Notably, Mother Teresa and Shri Gaur Gopal Das have been recipients of this prestigious award. Dr. Bal’s inclusion in the hallowed list is a matter of immense pride and glory for all of us in the KIIT fraternity. It will only serve as a catalyst in our constant drive for excellence.
Dr. Bal expressed her gratitude to Hon’ble Founder, KIIT and KISS, Prof. (Dr.) Achyuta Samanta for his sterling transformational leadership which has been the catalyst in her quest for education with a human touch. She added that KiiT International School was the best barometer for her ideological and academic growth as an educator because the students and faculty reflected her commitment to this process.
