Doctors’ Day Celebration by Youth Red Cross, KIIT
Doctors are the living God on Earth!!! Youth Red Cross (YRC), KIIT Deemed to be University paid their tribute to the Doctors working in different locations to contain the spread of Covid-19 on the occasion of National Doctors Day, 1st July 2021. The Society appreciated all warriors who were directly or indirectly involved in the mega fight against the unseen enemy. The event was graced by Dr. Shyam Sundar Behura, Associate Professor, KIDS & Dy. Director, KSAC; Dr. Nikunj Kishore Rout, Assistant Professor & HOD, Nephrology, KIMS; Dr. Prasenjit Das, THS; and Dr. Misthu Paul, JR, Nephrology, KIMS.
Upon their acceptance of the appreciation letter, Dr. Shyam Sundar Behura appraised the overall activity of YRC KIIT, which is going on without any delay even during the pandemic. Dr .Nikunj Kishore Rout expressed his thankfulness to the Society and also iterated the effort of other frontline workers who were proactively serving the society to save humanity. In his speech, Dr. Prasenjit Das shared his happiness and praised the active gesture of YRC KIIT in the Social Media to spread awareness all the time. In her speech, Ms. Kanika Yadav, MBBS student also shared her utmost gratitude to the society.
At the outset, Dr. Tanmoy Roy Choudhury and Dr. Chitralekha Jena, Counsellor, YRC KIIT welcomed all the guests and student volunteers. The importance of this special occasion was shared by Dr. Choudhury. The future Doctors, i.e. the MBBS student volunteers, were also felicitated during the event. The event was coordinated by student volunteers, Ms. Anoushka Khandelwal, Ms. Anuska Chakraborty, and Mr. Somil Shourya.
