The fourth day of the Faculty Development Programme on ‘Outcome Based Education and Digital Pedagogy’ focusing on outcome based education, accreditation requirements and its compliance using digital pedagogy in professional courses, sponsored by AICTE Training and Learning (ATAL) Academy, Govt. of India, was graced by three eminent resource persons, Prof. Terrence Perrera, Dr Lalit Singh and Prof. Santanu Kumar Swain.

Prof. Terrence Perrera, Computer Simulation, Sheffield Hallam University delivered a talk on the topic, “Basic Excel VBA coding and applications for analysis of course data”. He shared his comprehensive knowledge regarding the usefulness of application of VBA and Macros in Excel for data management. He demonstrated the whole process step by step to the participants. In the second session, Prof. Lalit Singh, Nuclear Scientist, NPCIL (Bhabha Atomic Research Centre), Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India delivered an intriguing lecture on “Entrepreneurship Qualities in the Field of Engineering & Technology”. He lucidly explained every aspect of entrepreneur and entrepreneurship, specifically highlighting the specific core entrepreneurship skills.

Taking the last session of the day on “Framing course outcomes, course content development, course delivery planning and activity based assessments”, Prof. Santanu Kumar Swain, Professor & Dean, Department of Education, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) briefly discussed teaching pedagogy and explained Academic Bank of Credit (ABC). He offered insightful suggestions on activity based assessment systems.

All the sessions were lively and thought provoking. The sessions were attended by distinguished faculties from different states of India.
