Compassionate Integrity Training Workshop conducted at KIIT
KIIT and KISS in collaboration with UNESCO MGIEP and Life University conducted a Compassionate Integrity Training, a 3-day intensive workshop which was being held from December 14-16, 2019. The participants were students and staff (Teaching & Non-Teaching) of KIIT and KISS.
This multi-part training program aimed at cultivating basic human values as skills for the purpose of increasing individual, social and environmental flourishing. Besides, covering a range of skills with the participants in this training, from self-regulation and self-compassion to compassion for others and engagement with complex systems, CIT focused on building perspectives towards compassionate integrity.
This is a first-of-its-kind attempt to bring a coursework-based understanding of common humanity and kindness to higher educational spaces in India. In Future, with the completion of the entire CIT content, KISS and KIIT will become the first university in India/worldwide to create “Compassionate Engineers”, “Compassionate Lawyers”, “Compassionate Business Leaders”, and so on.
The program witnessed valedictory with Registrar, Prof. Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, KIIT Deemed to be University felicitating the facilitators, Shane O’Connor, Shankar Musafir and Abel Caine (UNESCO MGIEP).
