Community Learning Session 3.0 successfully held at KIIT
Community Learning Session 3.0 was successfully held on 15th September, 2019 at Campus-12 Auditorium, KIIT Deemed to be University. It was conducted by KIIT E-Cell in association with Training and Placement Department of KIIT DU.
Session 1 – Skill development
The Skill development session was an interactive session with Mr. Pramit Bhuyan(Chief Mentor of MFL Educlub), an IIT KGP CSE graduate who has worked for more than 10 years in Microsoft as Tech Lead in various teams like Windows, Azure, Visual Studio, CRM team etc.
This session was basically on skill sets required by the industry to bridge the gap between students and the industry. A question and answer round was conducted, where all their doubts of the students were cleared followed by certain out-of-the-box activities those were taken up by the mentor to help the students improve their skills and mindset.
Session 2- Web development
The Web development session was a hands-on workshop by Mr. Nirav Patel, a software engineer at business application platform for Microsoft and he has also interned at ISRO to build a software to process data coming from satellites like Chandrayaan and Mangalyaan.
The session was basically on the technologies used in developing a website. Besides other advanced uses and details of Web development all along were explained during the session clearing all the doubts of the students. The workshop concluded with the students taking away prototype of a website which could be modified later on.
Eventually, the members of KIIT E-Cell thanked and felicitated the mentors in pitching the concept of startup idea to the audience with the help of a presentation on Startup Connect.
