Clean City Drive by KiiT International School FFF Volunteers

KiiT International School students made good use of their weekend with several outreach activities.

Ankit Satpathi, Prajwal Patil, Ankit Patro and Saatwik Panigrahi of IBDP along with Aatray Pattanaik and Karmanya Pratap Deb joined hands for a clean up drive in a two-kilometer stretch in Bomikhal area with Fridays For Future on 8th September, 2019.

Several students have voluntarily joined FFF, Fridays for Future – an initiative by Greta Thunberg, environmental activist and Nobel Peace Prize nominee who went on strike every Friday before the Swedish Parliament to draw attention to the climate emergency that the world is facing today. Greta Thunberg is a youth icon as she is only sixteen and has brought the environmental crisis to all forums of world leaders. Some of our students from KiiT International School are also a part of the FFF community to create awareness and bring change.

It is heartening indeed that students are so committed to causes and issues of the community and are willing to be  proactive agents of change. Fridays For Future will become the future for our planet as young KiiTians design and create a greener, cleaner and healthier world. Well done KiiT-IS students!!!
