Bhimabhoi, Madhusudan, Gopabandhu and Biju Patnaik Research Chairs come into effect at KISS
The four Research Chairs established at KISS, namely Santha Kabi Bhimabhoi, Utkal Gourav Madhusudan, Utkalmani Pt. Gopabandhu and Biju Patnaik have come into effect.
Four prominent educationists have been appointed as the Head-Professors of these Research Chairs. While Prof. Nihar Ranjan Patnaik, Pro-Chancellor, KISS has been appointed as the Head of the Biju Patnaik Research Chair, Dr. Jugal Kishore Mishra appointed as the Head of the Madhusudan Das Research Chair, Dr. H. Das as the Head of the Bhimabhoi Research Chair and Dr. Basanta Kumar Panda as Head of the Gopabandhu Das Research Chair.
On 13th August(Tuesday), Founder of KIIT & KISS Dr. Achyuta Samanta felicitated the four Head-Professors of these Research Chairs. Advanced research will be conducted on the life and times of the legendary Bhimabhoi, Utkal Gourav Madhusudan, Utkalmani Pt. Gopabandhu and Biju Patnaik in days to come.
Comprehensive studies will be done on the socio-economic significance of their work, principles and ideologies in the present perspective. Moreover, debate, national and international level seminars and photo exhibitions will be organized at different points of time. Besides, analysis will be done on various books written on them while utmost priority will be given to collect and preserve various objects, gadgets and books used by these icons of yesteryear.
All kinds of support will be extended towards research works at M. Phil and PhD level. On the occasion, Sri R.N. Dash, Secretary, KIIT & KISS and Prof. Harekrishna Satapathy, VC, KISS DU were present among others.
