Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav KIIT Hostel Organizes ‘Online Painting & Poetry Contest’
Every year, KIIT conducts ‘Hostel Premier League’ as outdoor and indoor events for boarders. This year, due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the event was conducted on virtual mode as ‘Online Quiz Contest’ & ‘Online Poetry Contest’. On the occasion of 75th Independence Day and “Bharat Ka Amrut Mahotsav”, KIIT Hostel conducted an ‘Online Painting Contest’ on 15th August 2021 among the borders of different boys and girls hostels currently residing at home.
Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS has declared 2021 as ‘The Year of Love’. Taking inspiration from this, it was decided to connect with KIITians at home through virtual events. Around 200 boarders registered online for the ‘Online Painting Contest’. Scrutiny and verification of the paintings received from the participants were conducted by the School of Film, Fashion & Mass Communication, KIIT-DU.
Shri S. K. Rath, Director, Hostel welcomed all the participants, felicitated and congratulated them for the successful completion of the event. He also distributed e-certificates to the participants. Vote of thanks was proposed by Shri Tapan Kumar Pati, Administrative Officer, Hostel, while e-certificates, duly signed by Prof. Sasmita Samanta, Pro-Vice Chancellor, KIIT-DU; Dr. Samaresh Mishra, Director, Students’ Affairs; and Shri S. K. Rath, were sent to all participants along with the winners. The event was successfully coordinated by Shri Satyajit Das, Executive and Shri. Jagannath Giri, Executive.
