Artist Spreads Awareness on Coronavirus with Mask Paintings

Raja Kishore Moharana, working as the Master Trainer (Pattachitra) at School of Fashion Technology, KIIT Deemed to be University has become the cynosure of all eyes for his creative designer masks. His artistic skill has won him first prize at the national-level online Mask Drawing & Painting Competition conducted by Chitrakar University in Punjab. Rajkishore’s painted mask speaks about the enormity of Coronavirus and the precautions to be taken to contain its spread. Besides, he has also reflected sufferings of people during the lockdown in his designer masks. Some of the messages painted on his masks read, ‘Stay Home, Stay Safe’, and ‘Wear Mask and Maintain Social Distancing’.

Rajkishore, who has won an award from Odisha Lalit Kala Academy, is now busy in Canvas painting to sensitize people on Covid 19. For his outstanding feat, he has been congratulated by Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS and Prof. Himansu Sekhar Khatua, CEO of SFT, SMC & SFMS, KIIT Deemed to be University.
