The inaugural ceremony of the KIIT Academic Empowerment Program (K-AEP) 2025 was held on 20th June 2025 with great enthusiasm and active participation from faculty, staff, and academic leaders. The theme of K-2025 is “The Evolving Role of Faculty in HEIs: Beyond Classroom” which will be held during 20-26th June 2025. The K-AEP 2025 aims to equip faculty members with the knowledge, skills, and perspectives necessary to thrive in a dynamic academic environment. The K-AEP will explore critical areas such as fostering interdisciplinary research collaborations, embracing innovative pedagogical approaches for blended and online learning, leveraging technology for enhanced student engagement, promoting entrepreneurship and industry linkages, contributing to SDGs, and fostering a culture of mentorship and lifelong learning.
The event was formally inaugurated by Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT, KIMS & KISS. In his opening remarks, Prof. (Dr.) Saranjit Singh, Vice Chancellor of KIIT-DU, extended heartfelt thanks to all stakeholders for the successful completion of the academic session. Prof. Singh highlighted the visionary leadership of the Founder, who declared 2025 as the “Year of Accountability” and encouraged everyone to strive for continuous academic excellence. He congratulated the KIIT community on the university’s recent accomplishments in the QS World University Rankings 2026 and THE Impact Rankings 2025. Prof. Singh also announced the establishment of the KIIT Student Service Centre (KSSC), aimed at enhancing communication and responsiveness to student needs.
Prof. (Dr.) Ramachandra Das, Dean and Principal of KIMS, reflected on his experiences with student engagement and stressed the importance of lifelong learning. Prof. (Dr.) Biswajit Sahoo, Director General of the School of Computer Engineering, underscored the Founder’s transformative initiatives and reaffirmed a commitment to implementing a structured tutoring and mentoring system across all schools under KIIT-DU.
Founder Prof. Achyuta Samanta conveyed his deep appreciation to all contributors for organizing the K-AEP 2025, attributing all institutional success to the blessings of the Almighty. He emphasized the need to focus on value-added research, student-centric strategies, and mentorship-driven development.
On this occasion, several key academic publications were unveiled, including: University and school-level Annual Reports, Academic Assessment & Audit Report, official K-AEP 2024 Brochure, and A textbook titled Digital Electronics Circuits, authored by Dr. Binodini Tripathy
The ceremony concluded with a word of thanks delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Jyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar, KIIT-DU. The overall programme was coordinated by KIIT IQAC.
