KIIT Deemed to be University inaugurated its Annual Academic Assessment and Audit (2025–26), a flagship initiative organized under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), on 7th May 2026. The three-day strategic exercise is designed to institutionalize a culture of continuous improvement, academic rigor, and systematic self-reflection across all constituent schools of the University.
The inaugural ceremony was graced by a panel of eminent external experts, senior functionaries, Heads of Schools, Quality Assurance (QA) coordinators, and faculty members. Dr. Siddharth Swarup Rautaray, Dean of IQAC, delivered the welcome address, providing a comprehensive overview of the audit’s core objectives and its critical focal areas. Over the course of three days, 27 distinguished academic experts from reputed institutes/universities undertook a meticulous evaluation of the 24 Schools within the KIIT ecosystem.



During the proceedings, Prof. (Dr.) Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar, KIIT-DU, showcased KIIT’s recent global accolades and milestones achieved on national and international platforms. Prof. (Dr.) Raju K.D., Pro-Vice Chancellor, enriched the session with a global perspective, discussing benchmarking and quality initiatives adopted by leading international universities.
A key highlight of the event was the felicitation of the visiting experts and the official release of two significant publications: the Academic Assessment and Audit Handbook 2025-26 and the latest edition of Kommunique (Vol. 2, Issue 1). This quarterly newsletter by IQAC documents the University’s notable achievements from January to March 2026.
In an engaging open discussion, the experts lauded the visionary leadership of Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder of KIIT, KISS, and KIMS, acknowledging his pivotal role in the institutions’ success. They further commended the University’s consistent excellence in global rankings and national accreditations, while offering strategic insights into academic frameworks and policy implementation within the Higher Education landscape.
In his keynote address, Prof. (Dr.) Saranjit Singh, Vice Chancellor, underscored that quality assurance is the bedrock of academic excellence. He called upon the auditing experts to offer candid insights and constructive feedback, emphasizing that such external perspectives are vital to refining the University’s long-term academic roadmap.
The session drew to a close with a formal word of thanks from Dr. Dipti Ranjan Biswal, Deputy Director, Accreditations. He expressed profound gratitude to the visiting academicians, the university leadership, and the IQAC team for their collaborative efforts. Dr. Biswal concluded by reiterating that transparency and a receptive approach to feedback are the fundamental cornerstones of a truly transformative audit process.
