Academic Audit 2019-20: KIIT-DU Conducts Virtual Welcome Meet

KIIT Deemed to be University conducted a Virtual Welcome Meet during Academic Audit 2019-20 on 12th November 2020. Gracing the occasion, Prof. Hrushikesha Mohanty, Vice Chancellor, KIIT-DU said that academic audit can be understood as a scientific and systematic method of reviewing the quality of academic process in the institution. It is related to quality assurance and enhancing the quality of academic activities in HEIs.

Prof. Sudarshan Nanda, Research Chair, KIIT-DU stated that the purpose of the academic audit is to ensure qualitative processes/measures for Online Teaching, Learning and Evaluation. Earlier, Prof. Chinmoy Kumar Panigrahi, Director, Quality Assurance Cell extended a warm welcome to all the esteemed members for the Academic Audit. The Deans and Directors of all the Schools were urged to start the Academic Audit process at the School level. The session ended with the vote of thanks by Prof. Biswajit Mishra, Dean-Quality Assurance Cell. The meet was attended by Deans, Directors and Faculty Coordinators of different Schools. All members of Academic Audit appreciated the work and commitment of each staff and faculty member of KIIT-DU.

Recognizing the University’s high standards, the Ministry of HRD conferred it ‘A’ Category status in 2016. KIIT has been accredited by NAAC with grade ‘A’, besides NBA accreditation under Washington Accord to its eight B.Tech programmes. Letter of Intent (LoI) for ‘Institution of Eminence’ (IoE) tag has also been issued by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India in September 2019.

Sengupta,  Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur;  Dr. B. Chitti Babu, Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacturing, Chennai; and Dr. Ranjan Kumar Behera, IIT Patna are invited for different programs for School of Computer Engineering.

Dr. Diptendu Sinha Roy, Department of Computer Science and Engineering National Institute of Technology, Meghalaya is invited for different programs at the School of Computer Application. Prof. Ashok Kumar Pradhan, Professor, IIT Kharagpur and Prof. Thanga Raj Chelliah, Associate Professor, Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee are invited for different programs at School of Electrical Engineering.

Prof. A. Routray, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur; Dr. Thirusakthimurugan, Department of Electronics, Pondicherry Engg College; and Dr. Ritesh Kumar Keshri, VNIT Nagpur are invited for different programs at School of Electronics Engineering.
