KSOM conducts Webinar on ‘IR aspects for blue-collared employees in the infrastructure sector’
As part of the Knowledge Dialogue Series, KIIT School of Management organized a webinar on “IR aspects during and post lockdown for blue collared employees in the infrastructure sector” for the students of MBA and BBA on 5th September 2020. It focused mainly on current issues and IR challenges surrounding skilled labour shortage in the construction sector.
Shri Saurabh Roy was the guest speaker at the webinar. He is an experienced HR professional with 18+ years of global track record of success, having worked across North America, Eastern Europe, Papua New Guinea & India. Currently, he is heading Industrial Relations function (Eastern Geography) for Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd.
The webinar helped students understand the current IR issues pertaining to the workforce of remote construction sites. Shri Roy explained ways to address IR issues through strategies adopting the benefits of FIFO operations to permanently relocating staff. He reviewed the use of empathetic IR Management to overcome the IR Challenges of remote site constructions.
