Director, KSPH Delivers Lecture at 90th Annual Session of NASI

Prof. Dr. Sudhir Kumar Satpathy, Director, KIIT School of Public Health (KSPH) was invited as a distinguished speaker at the 90th Annual Session of NASI & Symposium of the National Academy of Sciences, India on the theme “Towards a New Healthcare Regime for the Nation” held from 25th – 27th February 2021.

Prof. Satpathy delivered a lecture on the topic “Public Health Emergencies: Preparedness and Resilience of Our Health System” on 26th February 2021. He discussed about India’s health system, its preparedness and resilience in the face of public health emergencies like the current COVID-19 pandemic. He suggested building up the resilience of the health system around six building blocks of the health system. The session was chaired by Prof. (Dr.) Manju Sharma, NASI-DST Distinguished Woman Scientist; & Former Secretary, Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India; and Co-Chaired by Prof. U.C.Srivastava Treasurer, NASI; Formerly Professor, University of Allahabad, Prayagraj.
