FDP-2021 of KIIT SFT, SFMS and SMC Comes to an End

The annual Faculty Development Programme – 2021 of School of Fashion Technology, School of Film and Media Sciences, and School of Mass Communication concluded and a valedictory session was organized by these three schools through virtual mode. As the guest of this session, Prof. Himansu Sekhar Khatua, CEO of SFT, SFMS and SMC delivered the valedictory address.

Prof. Khatua congratulated all the participants for completing the FDP successfully. He stated the importance and objective of such FDP during the pandemic and quite hopeful that it may help all the faculty members in order to make their classes more interesting and engaging. He appreciated the involvement of the participants during the last five days of FDP and hoped that the same spirit may continue throughout the coming academic year. Prof. Khatua extended his heartfelt thanks to all the resource persons, who had given consent and spared time to deliver their talks. He also conveyed his gratitude to Dr. Achyuta Samanta Founder, KIIT, KISS & KIMS, who has initiated and planned for such annual FDP in KIIT Deemed to be University. He congratulated and conveyed thanks to three School Course Coordinators and faculty members for taking strain and organizing such a wonderful series of sessions in the last five days.

At the outset of this valedictory session, Dr Bidu Bhusan Dash, Course Coordinator, School of Mass Communication welcomed all the participants and introduced the guests. In the later part of the session, participants of all the three schools’ FDP expressed their testimonials and experiences on the recently concluded FDP. Prof Amaresh Chakraburtty from Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute; Dr Aparna Khanna from University of Delhi; Dr Sourav Gupta from Central University of Odisha; Dr R Shamala from Central University of Tamil Nadu; Dr Debarati Dhar from VIPS, New Delhi; Dr Jyoti Ranjan Sahu from XIM University, Bhubaneswar; Ms Smitaswini Mahapatra from SMIT, Berhampur and few others conveyed their thanks for organizing such fruitful FDP. They expressed their happiness about the vivid themes on Film Studies, Journalism, Communication and Fashion that were covered during all the sessions and they got an opportunity to listen and interact with the leading academicians across the globe. That apart, they were fully satisfied with the way the entire FDP was organized systematically.

Mr. Ganeswara Mohapatra of SFMS expressed his heartfelt thanks to Prof. Khatua for supporting in organising such FDP. In the valedictory session, Course Coordinators of SFT and SFMS – Mr. Bauri Raula and Mr. Ajaya Kumar Mishra, faculty members Mr. Susant Bahinipati, Ms. Ruby Nanda, Dr Anurag Sahu, Mr. Souptik Garai, Ms Vaishali Sethi, Ms Biswaranjita Mahapatra, Mr Partha Sarathi Bal and other faculties of three schools were also present.
