KiiT International School celebrated Independence Day with the patriotic fervor and enthusiasm evident in the students, adorned  in white with little flags in the hands of the tiny tots.

The flag was unfurled by Dr. Mona Lisa Bal, Chairperson of the School. She reminded the school community about the significance of the day, beyond it being a holiday. She said that patriotic feelings open the mind and heart to the larger cause of humanity. Patriotism is a glue that unites us giving us an identity that transcends sectarian barriers.

The 73rd birthday of the nation was an occasion for all to reflect on where we were placed in a world community and to look beyond immediate economic developmental goals. The role of students in shaping that process is very significant.

Principal of the school, Dr. Sanjay Suar thanked the students and faculty members.
