KIIT Faculty Serves as Panelist at Prestigious Technical SPARC Project Workshop at IIT Kanpur

Dr. Chinmay Kumar Panigrahi, Professor and Director, School of Electrical Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University, was invited to serve as a distinguished panelist at the Technical SPARC Project Workshop titled “Grid Resilience in the Era of Mass EV Adoption”, held during January 12–13, 2026, at IIT Kanpur.

The high-level workshop brought together eminent academicians, researchers, and industry experts from leading national and international institutions. Renowned speakers included Dr. Naveen Chilamkurti (La Trobe University, Australia); Dr. Ranjan Behera (IIT Patna); Dr. Abdun Mahmood (La Trobe University, Australia); Dr. Gururaj Mirle Vishwanath (IIT Kanpur); Dr. Pawan Kumar (NIT Patna); Mr. Gaurav Pilania (MARS Antenna & RF Systems); Dr. Shubh Lakshmi (MNNIT Allahabad); Dr. Suvendu Samanta (IIT Kanpur); Dr. Amarendra Edpuganti (IIT Kanpur); and Dr. R. K. Singh (IIT (BHU) Varanasi).

A panel discussion was conducted featuring distinguished experts, including Dr. Utsab Kundu (IIT Kanpur); Dr. V. S. K. Murthy Balijepalli (Krish) (Luces Innovation Consulting); Dr. Chinmay Kumar Panigrahi (KIIT, Bhubaneswar); Dr. Naveen Chilamkurti (La Trobe University, Australia); and Dr. Ankush Sharma (IIT Kanpur). The session facilitated in-depth deliberations on the challenges and opportunities related to grid resilience amid large-scale electric vehicle adoption.

During the discussion, Dr. Panigrahi highlighted KIIT Deemed to be University’s strategic initiatives aimed at strengthening industry–academia collaboration, particularly in the electric vehicle ecosystem, including the establishment of dedicated EV research laboratories. His insights showcased KIIT’s commitment to innovation-driven research and global engagement.
