Utkal Divas Celebrated At KIIT Premises

Utkal Divas has been celebrated by KIIT & KISS fraternity at Rose Garden, KIIT Campus-12 on 1st April, 2018. Addressing the senior functionaries and executive staff members of KIIT Group of Institutions,  Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS said “despite being endowed with immense and precious natural resources, we the people of Odisha have not been considered amongst the  most affluent and advanced states  in India because of our attitude.”

“Heroes like the legendary Utkal Gaurav Madhusudan Das and Biju Patnaik had taken Odisha to new heights by virtue of their vision, dynamism and incredible mental strength. That’s why we evoke their noble deeds today for which Odisha and its people feel honored and proud. However, in the present perspective hardly any person is there who can emulate the feats of these icons of yesteryears,”

added the Founder.

Historian Dr. Satyendra Patnaik placed  succinctly the glorious and eventful history of Odisha. He highlighted the peerless contribution of Madhubabu in making Odisha an independent state way back in 1936. His sagacity, valor and love for his motherland were unparalleled in the annals of history.

“However Madhubabu has yet been got the proper place in history what he supposed to get,”

rued Sri Patnaik.

Prof. Harekrushna Satapathy, VC, KISS Deemed University said that the service and dedication of the pioneers of Swatrantra Odisha, was just exemplary and beyond any self interest. The culture and tradition of Odisha coincide with the that of the Jagannath cult. It is in fact our identity and specialty. “We have to take a resolution to glorify the names of Gopabandhu and Madhubabu and it should be the essence of Utkal Divas,” he emphasized.

Among the dignitaries, Sri R. N. Dash, Secretary KIIT & KISS and Prof. Hrushikesha Mohanty, VC, KIIT Deemed University were present and spoke on the occasion.
