Technical Talk at KIIT School of Civil Engineering
KIIT Society of Civil Engineers (KSCE) along with ASCE and ICE Student Chapters organized a ‘Technical Talk’ on “Career opportunities for civil engineers in the infrastructure sector” on 23rd April 2022 in hybrid mode. Delivering the talk, Mr. Pramod Kumar Mishra, General Manager-Learning and Development, GR Infra Projects Ltd. explained the important qualities one must possess to achieve success in a career in Civil Engineering, particularly construction and infrastructure industry. He presented data showing that the major engineering employment chances are within the Civil Engineering domain and one should keep their focus on the core subjects. He also described the various career paths for a Civil Engineer.
Dr. S. Moulick, Dean, School of Civil Engineering also spoke on the occasion. A vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. K. P. Samal, Faculty In-Charge, KIIT Society of Civil Engineers. The event was attended by 70 participants of KIIT School of Civil Engineering. Among others, faculty members of School, Prof. Dipti Biswal, Prof. Brundavan Beriha, and Prof. Bandita Paikray were present.
