Inaugurating South Asian Conference on Nephrology at KIIT Convention Centre on 10th March, 2018, he said that the State Government has decided to provide free dialysis facilities to (Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) patients in head quarter hospitals located in  every districts. In this regard, the government has already started work in 15 district head quarter hospitals. The main cause of kidney disease is non communicable disease like high blood pressure and diabetes. So the Government has started NCD programme in 15 districts for screening of NCD patients. These patients will be provided treatment and medicines at free of cost.

We should take care of our environment. We should not destroy our natural environment in the name of development,” he added. Dr. S. C. Dash, Professor Emirates and Chairman, Organizing committee of the conference gave the welcome address while Prof. Jyotin Dash, Principal, KIMS Medical College proposed Vote of Thanks.

Gen. Dr P. P. Verma, Prof. Sudhir Kulkarni, Prof. Ashok Kriplani, Prof. Dr. R. K. Sharma, Prof. Dilip Pahari, Dr. Manjuri Sharma, Dr. Shribhushan Raja, Dr. D. S. Ray, Prof. Amit Gupta, Dr. N. Sarat Kumar, Prof. Nandita Choudhury, Dr. A. P. Patnaik, Prof. Om Kumar, Dr. P. K. Sahoo, Dr. S. C. Mahakud, Dr. S. B. Rout, Dr. Saoubhik Saran and Dr. K. C. Mohanty, renowned nephrologists of India joined the conference and participated in the deliberation. Among others Saswati Bal, President, KIIT & KISS and many faculties and students of KIMS were also present on the occasion.
