Global Recognition for KIIT & KISS at Prestigious MOF 2024 International Conference in Singapore

Dr. Rojalin Sahu, Professor of Chemistry at KIIT School of Applied Sciences, presented her paper titled “ZIF Particle-Based Triboelectric Nanogenerator for Powering Electronics” at the prestigious MOF 2024 International Conference, organized by the Materials Research Society of Singapore (MRS-S). This conference is a premier platform for researchers, scientists, and professionals worldwide to explore the latest advancements in metal-organic frameworks (MOFs), covalent organic frameworks (COFs), and other open framework compounds.

Her work received acclaim from several prominent researchers in the field. The pioneer of this research area, Prof. Omar Yaghi from the University of California, Berkeley; Prof. Seth Cohen from the University of California, San Diego; Prof. Jeffrey R. Long from the University of California, Berkeley; Prof. Mircea Dincă from the Department of Chemistry, MIT; Prof. Jin-Chong Tan from the University of Oxford; Prof. Susumu Kitagawa from the University of Kyoto; Prof. Anthony Cheetham, Vice President of the Royal Society of Chemistry and Professor of Materials Science at the University of Cambridge, Prof. Dan Zhao from the National University of Singapore and many more reputed professors from world’s prestigious institutions attended this conference. The conference was also attended by the chief editors of prestigious scientific research journals such as Nature, Science, JACS, Chemical Sciences and many other important journals.

During her presentation, Prof. Sahu shared the vision and achievements of KIIT and KISS, inviting esteemed professors to visit these unique institutions. Prof. B.V.R. Chowdari, Senior Executive Director at the Materials Research Society of Singapore and Scientific Director at IMRE, as well as an Adjunct Professor at NUS and NTU, is a great admirer of KIIT and KISS, and their Founder. Many attendees were astonished to learn about KIIT and KISS, particularly the Founder’s selfless service to humanity, expressing a strong desire to visit these remarkable institutions.

Prof. Sahu expressed her gratitude to the Founder for extending her the opportunity to globalize her research and showcase her institute on an international platform. She also extended her heartfelt thanks to Prof. Saranjit Singh, Vice-Chancellor, and Prof. J.R.
