Conference on ‘Cartels and the Leniency Program in India’ at KLS

KIIT Law School (KLS) in collaboration with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, organized a “Conference on Cartels and the Leniency Program in India” on March 11-12, 2023, to promote empirical and qualitative research on the leniency program designed to combat cartelization in India and around the world.

The Conference provided a forum for discussion among practitioners, academicians and researchers to deliberate on the nuances and challenges surmounting the leniency program and submit their recommendations to the Ministry for effective regulation of the program.

More than 40 presenters presented their research papers across five different tracks, while 11 Resource Persons spanning academia, Competition Commission of India and Practitioners from Law Firms were the Conference Chairs.

The Conference was funded by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. The project was awarded to the Principal Investigator, Mr. Umang Ghildyal, Assistant Professor, KLS.
