KIDS’ Orientation Programme for First Year BDS Students

Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences, a constituent under KIIT-DU, successfully conducted the “Orientation Day (UG)-2023” programme for the newly enrolled students of the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course on September 15.

 The inaugural programme was graced by Dr. Jugajyoti  Pathi , Deputy Director (Admin.), Dr. Aswini Kumar Kar, Principal, and other esteemed faculty members of KIDS. The programme commenced with an invocation seeking the blessings of the Almighty, followed by a warm welcome by Dr. Kar.

Dr. Pathi, gave a crisp presentation about the vibrant environment of the college and university which strongly encourages both academic and extracurricular pursuits. Several accolades received by the Founder of KIIT-KISS Dr Achyuta Samanta and students and faculty on national and international platforms were also highlighted. A comprehensive overview of the B.D.S programme was given by Dr. Dhirendra Kumar Singh, Professor, KIDS.

Further Dr. J Pathi briefed the students about various aspects pertaining to student life on the campus with an emphasis on safety and anti-ragging measures. The students were then introduced to their respective teacher-mentors.  This was followed by an informal introduction of the students.  The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Singh, where he expressed his gratitude to all present in the event.
