KIDS Organizes Symposium on “Alcohol & Liver Diseases”
In India, alcohol consumption is the most prevalent cause of cirrhosis (34.3%), and nearly 20% of all liver disease patients are current drinkers. As a result, alcohol is responsible for a considerable portion of the global burden of liver disease. On the occasion of Liver Awareness Month, KIDS in association with PlasmaGen Biosciences organized an awareness program with Dr. Adarsh C.K, Head, Medical Gastroenterology and Endoscopy, Gleneagles Global Hospitals Bangalore. The event was graced by Dr. Aswini Kumar Kar, Principal, KIDS; Dr. Jugajyoti Pathi, Asst. Director (Admin.); and Dr. Sangamesh N. C., Vice Principal, along with faculty members and students. Dr. Dhirendra Kumar Singh moderated the entire event and proposed the vote of thanks.
