Odisha Heritage Walk for International Students of KIIT-DU

In a bid to educate the international students from KIIT Deemed to be University about the rich cultural heritage of Odisha , KIIT-DU in collaboration with “Study In India” Program organized a heritage walk on 19th February 2023 at Odisha’s famous Khandagiri and Udayagiri Jain Caves. Officials from the KIIT International Relations Office including Ms. Smarita Pati, Asst. Director; Mr. Bijaya Panda, Manager-IR Hostel; and Ms. Monalisa Dash, Office Assistant accompanied the second year students for a two-hour long morning visit to the majestic caves.

It was an awe inspiring experience for the students hailing from Nepal and Bangladesh to witness the legacy of one of the oldest surviving monuments of India. Mr. Jitu Mishra and Ms. Rosalin Dash, on behalf of Odisha tourism narrated the stories behind the carvings and paintings of the rock cut caves. The students enthusiastically participated in the Heritage walk asking several questions about the sculpture panels and inscriptions.
