IRO, KIIT Organizes a Heritage Walk to Cuttack
As part of its international student engagement programme, the International Relations Office, KIIT-DU, organized a Heritage Walk to Cuttack, combined with a nature retreat on the outskirts of the Bhubaneswar–Cuttack region, on 27th June 2026.
The programme provided international students with a unique opportunity to experience both the rich cultural heritage of Odisha and the serenity of its natural landscapes.
The visit encouraged students to explore the region beyond the classroom while promoting physical well-being, cultural understanding, and meaningful interaction among participants.
The students began their visit by exploring the historic city of Cuttack, where they spent time in and around the iconic Barabati Stadium and its surrounding areas, gaining insights into one of Odisha’s most prominent sporting and cultural landmarks.
Following the heritage exploration, the students proceeded to a scenic natural retreat on the outskirts of the city, where they enjoyed a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of urban life. Surrounded by lush greenery and open landscapes, they participated in a variety of interactive outdoor activities, including team-building exercises, relay games, nature-based recreational challenges, and group games that fostered collaboration, communication, leadership, and mutual trust.
The initiative provided international students with a holistic learning experience that strengthened intercultural understanding, encouraged teamwork, and created lasting memories of Odisha’s cultural richness and natural beauty.
