KIIT Receives Grant from Association of Commonwealth Universities,U.K. to Conduct Virtual Mobility Program
KIIT International Relations Office Delhi conducted a Virtual Mobility Project in collaboration with Kampala International University, Uganda, which was funded by the Association of Commonwealth Universities, United Kingdom. Remarkably, KIIT was among the eight universities from the United Kingdom, Cyprus, Canada, Malaya, Srilanka, Rwanda and Uganda that received this grant and the only one that got selected from India. The grants aim to help students enhance their intercultural skills and global knowledge without the need for physical travel. It was attended by the students from both the Universities for 10 days from 20th – 30th October 2021.The theme of the project was “The importance of ethics and integrity during COVID-19”.
The event is designed to help students explore ethical dilemmas, ethical decision-making, and universal human values. This project was an attempt to explore how young adults are engaging with technology during this global communication crisis and to make them understand the importance of media integrity and ethics as a viewer and user. This project provided a brief introduction to the concepts of integrity and ethics. It was designed to provide students with conceptual clarity and expose them to ethical dilemmas and ethical decision-making. The concept of integrity has been added in order to broaden the focus from the more traditional field of ethics.
The curriculum as well as sessions of this project were designed and taught by Ms Meenal Choubey, KIIT and DrSusan Akinkurolere, Kampala International University, Uganda.
