SEE organizes various activities owing to Celebration of International Women’s Day, 2020

KIIT School of Electrical Engineering organized different activities like Workshops, Quizzes and Debates etc focusing on gender sensitization, equality, women’s health, education, empowerment, safety and security etc for International Women’s Day, 2020(8th March, 2020) at its premises on 6th March, 2020.

A Musical performance was made by lady faculty members and girl students as well. Both staff and students were given an open platform to express their views on gender equality and women hood. A cake cutting ceremony was also done to cherish the contribution of every woman for the department.

During the session, students and lady staffs of the School participated actively in discussion on challenges of stereotypes, fight bias, broaden perceptions, improve situations and celebrate women’s achievements.
Prof. (Dr.) Sarat Chandra Swain, Associate Dean, School of Electrical Engineering addressed the gathering on Women Empowerment. Prof Dr. Chinmoy Kumar Panigrahi, Director, School of Electrical Engineering focused on the campaign theme of “International Women’s Day 2020” as #Each for Equal.

During the program, all the lady faculty members, lady technical assistants, lady staffs and girl students of the School were present. The winners of various competitions were awarded with prizes followed by a group photo session. Dr. Arjyadhrara Pradhan, Coordinator extended vote of thanks.
