Odisha CM Inaugurates Motilal Oswal-KISS Residential School
The Balangir Unit of KISS Bhubaneswar, Motilal Oswal-KISS Residential School, was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha Shri Naveen Patnaik on 15th of February, 2020. Inaugurating the school, the Chief Minister said, “I am delighted to inaugurate the Motilal Oswal-KISS Residential School at Balangir. I hope this school will play a key role for the development of tribal children in a backward region like Balangir. For such an accomplishment, I congratulate Founder of KIIT and KISS Dr. Achyuta Samanta and the Managing Director of Oswal Group Shri Motilal Oswal”.
“Education provides strength to us to march ahead. It brings changes in society. The State Govt. has taken many steps in educating children belonging to scheduled caste and tribe. Besides, the Govt. has been prioritizing to provide value-based education to tribal children”, he added.
Gracing the occasion as Guest of Honour, Hon’ble Minister of Women & Child Welfare and Mission Shakti, Govt. of Odisha Mrs. Tukuni Sahu said that the people of Balangir will be indebted to Dr. Achyuta Samanta for his contribution in establishing a modern Residential School for the tribal children of the district. This School will usher a new era in the domain of education for the tribal children of the district, she hoped.
Hon’ble Member of Parliament (L.S.) for Balangir Smt. Sangita Kumari Singh Deo said, the tribal people are the primitive inhabitants of Balangir district. For their wholesome development, both State and Central Govts have been taken many welfare measures. She expressed gratitude to Dr. Achyuta Samanta and Shri Motilal Oswal for setting up a Residential School for the tribal children of Balangir. Hon’ble MLA of Balangir, Shri Narsingh Mishra said, “We should extend our support to Dr. Achyuta Samanta for his consistent and noble endeavour to empower the tribal students through education. It is very difficult to find a selfless and dedicated social worker like Dr. Samanta in the world”.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri Motilal Oswal said, “There is no greater gift to mankind than education. The society undergoes a sea change through education. Motilal Oswal-KISS Campus has amused me. We can establish such kinds of schools for tribal children if get the right support and cooperation”. Chairperson of Motilal Oswal Foundation, Ms. Sunita Agarwal informed that the Foundation has been doing many exemplary works in the field of education. “Our work will fetch dividends when thousands of children will successfully complete their education from this school”, she added.
Earlier, Founder of KIIT and KISS Dr. Achyuta Samanta briefed about the Motilal Oswal-KISS Residential School. Among others, Motilal Oswal Financial Services Group Chairman, Mr. Ramadeo Agarwal, Mrs. Bimala Oswal and Collector of Balangir, Shri Arabinda Dakua were present. More than 20,000 people attended the inaugural ceremony.
