Basic Life Support (BLS) is a level of medical care which is used for victims of life-threatening illnesses or injuries until they can be given full medical care at a hospital. It can be provided by trained medical personnel, including  certified first responders, emergency medical technicians  and by qualified bystanders. C-A-B is recommended  to ensure the blood supply to the vital organs and to prevent degeneration of the brain cells.

BLS Trainer Prof. Manas R Behera; Associate Professor Nirmal Kumar Mohakud and Associate Professor Sibarata Pattnaik conducted this course. A large number of sisters, particularly from ICU, PICU, Pediatric Ward, O&G and casualty were trained.
