MEDIA REPORT: In a landmark event marking a significant step towards integrating ancient wisdom with modern sports science, the School of Sports and Yogic Sciences, KIIT Deemed to be University (KIIT-DU), inaugurated its 1st International Conference on Contemporary Yoga Styles: Applications and Benefits for Sports Training and Sports Performance on 27th December 2024. The two-day conference is being held under the esteemed aegis of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi.
The grand inauguration was graced by an esteemed panel of dignitaries and thought leaders from the fields of yoga, sports, and academia. Prof. Payoshni Mitra, a celebrated researcher and social activist from the UK, delivered an impactful keynote address, sharing profound insights on gender equality in sports. She lauded Prof. Achyuta Samanta, Hon’ble Founder of KIIT, KISS, and KIMS, for his relentless efforts and unwavering support in fostering a culture of sports and yoga excellence.
