NSS Wing of KIIT School of Mechanical Engineering (NSS-SME) in association with Dream Studies, an educational consultant which provides assistance to Indian students to study abroad, organized a ‘Study Abroad Webinar’ on 26th March 2022. The webinar, which aimed to give students guidance on their career choices abroad, focused on study avenues in key destinations, including Canada, the U.K., Italy and Germany. It highlighted courses that are in demand, along with fee structures of colleges abroad, scholarship eligibility, availability of financial aid, and post-study career prospects, among other topics.
The webinar was led by Ashutosh Nayak from University of Sapienza, Italy, along with his teammates, Ankit Sahoo from University of Duisburg-Essen, Germany and Ritika Agarwal from University of Sapienza. They emphasized the importance of selecting universities, writing a statement of purpose, how to get letters of recommendations and preparing the right CV to get into the right university. They also explained professional development opportunities and strategies for success in higher education in these countries and covered the detailed process of application and about building contacts and network which is crucial for career building on foreign land. The participants enthusiastically engaged in the discussion and got their queries answered. The career session was open to all students of KIIT Deemed to be University and other universities.
