KIIT School of Mechanical Engineering Conducts Virtual Debate Competition

A virtual Students’ Debate Competition was conducted at School of Mechanical Engineering, KIIT-DU on 7th August 2021, as a part of the ongoing Students Competition 2021. The purpose of the competition was to develop critical thinking skills of the students through reasonable arguments. It was highly interactive and comprised multifarious intellectual topics.

At the outset, Dr. Radha Kanta Sarangi, Associate Professor, SME welcomed the participants to the event. The competition was judged by Dr. Sarangi, Dr. Nitin Sharma and Prof. Smaranika Nayak, who shared their views on the performances. The event was coordinated by Dr. Hemalata Jena and Dr. Amlana Panda, FICs, Student Affairs, and moderated by student coordinators (Mr. Ashutosh Dixit and Netra Damle) and student volunteers (Mr. Vedant Chakraborty, Mr. Utsav Kundu, Mr. Himanshu Kumar Singh, Mr. Ayush Bose, Mr. Sagar Kumar, Ms. Trishu Bhattacharya, Ms. Agnijita Roy, Mr. Prakash Vishnu and Mr. Anubhav Kumar) ensuring a smooth, systematic, and interactive session.
