The NSS Wing of School of Electronics Engineering (SoEE), KIIT Deemed to be University conducted a virtual meeting to celebrate the 74th Independence Day. The program started with the recitation of a poem, while the members remembered the brave freedom fighters of India. Quiz competition, Photography competition and Flashmob/dance performance by the NSS volunteers marked the occasion.
The quiz competition, consisting of three rounds, was organized on the online platform Slido.com. Hrishav Dasgupta, Lalit Kumar Yadav and Sheerso De – top 3 from the Round 3 – were declared the winners. The NSS Flash-mob team released a dance video, which gave the message of love and respect for the nation. The photographers had to think of an idea that best represented Independence and the picture was to be clicked in an indoor setting.
Dr. Kajal Parashar, Program Coordinator, KIIT NSS Bureau, Prof. Sruti S. Singh, Program Officer, NSS SoEE, Prof. Satyadeep Das, Program Officer, NSS SoEE and Dr. Dhirendra Singh, Program Officer, NSS KIDS were also present. All volunteers of the NSS Wing of SoEE extended thanks to Dr. Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS; Vice Chancellor Prof. Hrushikesha Mohanty; Pro-Vice-Chancellor Prof Sasmita Samanta and Registrar Prof. Jnana Ranjan Mohanty for their support and guidance. Around 170 students participated in the celebration.
