IEEE 2nd International Conference on Applied Electromagnetics, Signal Processing & Communication Held at KIIT School of Electronics Engineering

KIIT School of Electronics Engineering organized a three-day IEEE 2nd International Conference on Applied Electromagnetics, Signal Processing & Communication (AESPC-2021) from 26th to 28th November 2021. The conference was organized by KIIT-DU in collaboration with IEEE Kolkata section (Region-10), IEEE, Bhubaneswar sub-section, and IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society KIIT student branch, School of Electronics Engineering. Its proceedings containing all presented papers will be published in the IEEE Explore database.

It was inaugurated on 26th November 2021 virtually by Prof. (Dr.) Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty, Registrar, KIIT Deemed to be University in the presence of Prof. Suprava Patnaik, Dean, SOEE; Prof. A. K. Ray, Director Academics; Prof. U. P Singh, Dean (Research), SOEE;  Prof. Amlan Datta, Asso. Dean; Prof. Debatosh Guha, IEEE Fellow & Professor of Institute of Radio Physics & Electronics, University of Kolkata; Prof. Amalendu Patnaik, TPC Chair & Professor, IIT Roorkee; Dr. Dimitris E. Anagnostou, Heriot-Watt University, Institute of Signals, Sensors and Systems (ISSS), Edinburgh, UK; and Prof. Arumugam Nallanathan, Head of Communication Systems Research (CSR) Group School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science, Queen Mary University of London, UK.

There were eleven keynote and plenary talks by eminent personalities and researchers from India and abroad. The keynote lectures were delivered on Day-1 by Prof. Debatosh Guha; Prof. Ganapati Panda, Ex. Deputy Director & Professor, IIT Bhubaneswar; Dr. Dimitris E. Anagnostou; and Prof. Arumugam Nallanathan.

On Day-2, the keynote lectures were delivered by Dr. Anjan Kumar Panda, Technology Strategist and a language activist, Dublin, California, USA; Dr. Raghvendra Chaudhary,IIT (ISM Dhanbad); Dr. Subhransu Ranjan Samantaray, IIT Bhubaneswar; Dr. Debiprasad Das, IMMT, Bhubaneswar; and Prof. Suprava Patnaik. The keynote speakers of Day-3 were Dr. Yinan QI, Zhejiang Lab, Zhejiang University, China and Dr. Chandrashekhar Narayan Bhende, IIT Bhubaneswar. The keynote sessions were coordinated by Prof. Debolina Deb, Prof. Vimal Shrivastava, Prof. Wriddhi Bhowmik, Prof. Swati Swayamsiddha, Prof. Sudhakar Sahu, Prof. Sudhanshu Sekhar Singh, Prof. Sambit Prasad Kar, Prof. Om Prakash Acharya, Prof. Sarita Nanda, Prof. Nirmal Kumar Rout, Prof. Amrit Mukherjee and Prof. Akshaya Kumar Pati.

The conference presentations were held in parallel tracks in the field of Electromagnetics, Signal Processing, Communication, Electrical Control and Instrumentation as well as VLSI, Devices, Circuits and Embedded systems headed by the session chairs. The technical program was coordinated and monitored by Technical Program Co-Chairs Prof. Sarita Nanda, Prof. J.K Das, Prof. Jyoti Ranjan Panda, Prof. Swati Swayamsiddha, Prof. Shivam Gautam,  Prof. Akshaya Kumar Pati, Prof. Amrit Mukherjee, Prof. Manoranjan Kumar, Prof. Ganaraj Shankar, Prof. Sasmita Pahadsingh, Prof. Anupama Senapati and Prof. Suman Roy.

Two best paper prizes were declared during the Valedictory function presided by Dr. Debiprasad Das who presented a brief of the conference. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Sudhakar Sahu, Conference chair (AESPC-2021), KIIT School of Electronics Engineering.

The AESPC-2021Conference is dedicated to advanced research in the areas of the microwave as well as antenna engineering, signal processing and communication. It aims at bringing together the researchers, scientists, engineers and research scholars from all areas of engineering and technology, to provide an international forum to exchange their ideas and experiences, foster collaboration, and cover new grounds.
