A Training Programme on ‘Industrial Automation Using Programmable Logic Controller (PLC)’was inaugurated on 10th January 2020 for the 2nd year Electrical Engineering students. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. B. K. Nayak, Dean, SoEE and Prof. Subrat Behera, Associate Dean, Training & Placement presented their valuable thoughts on the existing industrial scenario and demand before the students.
They also elaborated how training in the market is a dire need of the hour in core industries. The enthusiastic students were advised to attend the training programme and maintain the continuity throughout the semester beyond their class hours.
The objective of the programme was to sensitize the students about the Industrial Automation Techniques. It will enable them to learn and execute the upgraded relevant advanced software based controller utilized in modern industries.
Students’ skill augmentation remains a key focus area of SOEE. The programme will help students to construct the hardware part related to desired process control. They will also learn the techniques and logical programme behind the Industrial Process Control System.
