KIIT School of Electrical Engineering Organizes Ph.D. Orientation Program on Virtual Mode

School of Electrical Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University organized Ph.D. Orientation Program on virtual modeon 19th January 2021.The orientation program was attended by all the research scholars of the 2020 admitted batch and their guides. Dr. S. C. Swain, Professor, School of Electrical Engineering; Dr. M. K. Maharana, Associate Professor; and Dr. Sriparna Roy Ghatak, Program Head-Ph.D were present at the meeting.

At the outset, welcoming the newly joined research scholars, Prof. Byamakesh Nayak, Dean, School of Electrical Engineering emphasized on the need of working on the research areas of societal relevance. He also spoke briefly about the excellent research infrastructure of the school relevant for their doctoral work. 

Dr. S. R. Ghatak informed the scholars about the regulations and other key aspects of the PhD Program. Dr. S. C. Swain shared his personal experience with all the scholars, while underscoring the importance of finalization of research problems. Dr. M. K. Maharana informed the students about different subjects which the school is offering for the coursework. The scholars and guides introduced themselves and their research interests. The meeting ended with a vote of thanks to all the members present.
