KIIT School of Computer Applications NSS Wing Observes “International Human Rights Day -2021”

KIIT School of Computer Applications observed “International Human Rights Day” on 10th December 2021 to commemorate the Universal Declaration of Human Rights adopted by the United Nations General Assembly. Shri Jagadananda, State Information Commissioner, Odisha and  Founder & Mentor, Centre for Youth and Social Development (CSYD) delivered a talk at the event. He marked a massive milestone in the advancement of humanitarianism. The presentation focused on the rights of every individual everywhere, without distinction based on nationality, place of residence, gender, national or ethnic origin, religion, language, or any other status. 

On the occasion, Prof. (Dr.) Kajal Parashar, Programme Coordinator, KIIT-NSS Bureau welcomed the new NSS volunteers, the participants of the event and shared her thoughts on what NSS is all about.

Professor Prachi Vijayeeta addressed the gathering with a brief introduction of the topic. She went on to add the necessities of Human Rights in one’s life as well as towards the community. Prof. Sadhna Sudershana of KIIT School of Computer Applications welcomed the speaker with an introductory note. Prof. Manas Mukul of KIIT School of Computer Applications handled the technical and the social media aspect of this important event. The event was a bilateral discussion among the speaker and the participants. The presentation by the speaker on “Fifth Space” was highly appreciated by all.

The deliberation was followed by sharing some experiences of NSS Program Officer of Film and Mass communication, with the speaker. Lastly, a vote of thanks was conveyed by Professor Prachi Vijayeeta.
