KIIT School of Civil Engineering organized a placement orientation program for the 7th Semester B.Tech students on 28th July 2021. The program created awareness about the placement process, preparedness in terms of training to be conducted by CAAS, domain area, etc. The program, facilitated by Training Placement, CAAS and faculty members, SCE, helped the students augment their level of industry-readiness for upcoming campus recruitment opportunities.
Prof. Prachet Bhuyan, Dean T&P and Prof. Abhisekh Ray, Dean IE briefed the students about the guidelines and regulations for placement. Students were apprised about the current industry scenario by Prof. Bhuyan who advised them to focus on acquiring skills and equipping themselves with proper hands-on experience to compete for the high-end jobs. Students were also advised to be ready for all sorts of opportunities which are provided by top-notch recruiters.
CAAS along with Mr. Gaurav, MyPerfectice guided the students in choosing the right courses with respect to their interests and preparedness in the MyPerfectice platform. Dr. D. K. Bera, Associate Dean, T&P appraised students about the GTD programs to be launched for the year 2021-22. They were encouraged to prepare to get placement in IT and Core Sector companies. Besides, the students were informed that training on domain area will be conducted as per the requirement during placement drive to make them job ready. Prof. A. K. Pani, B. Tech.
