The academic audit provides an opportunity for the Schools to evaluate their qualitative processes/measures for Online Teaching-Learning, Evaluation, Research, Project and other best practices followed and strengthen the areas where improvements are needed. In view of this, an online Academic Audit (2020-21) for B. Tech, M.Sc. and Ph.D programs at the School of Applied Sciences, KIIT-DU was organized on 24th July 2021.
The experts, Dr. P. K. Dutta, Professor in Physics, Dr. Amit Basak, Professor in Chemistry, IIT Kharagpur and Dr. V. Vetrivel, Professor in Mathematics, IIT Madras, were welcomed by Prof. P. Pattajoshi, Dean, School of Applied Sciences and presented an overview on the School. Her presentation reviewed activities and initiatives undertaken by the School based on recommendations of the previous academic audit report (2019-20). The initiatives taken by the School were well appreciated by the experts.
Dr. Satya Kumar Mishra, Coordinator, Department of Mathematics presented the curriculum design and development related aspects. Dr. Dibyaranjan Rout, Coordinator, Department of Physics presented the teaching and learning process by faculty of the School of Applied Sciences, while Dr. Prasant Rath, Coordinator, Department of Chemistry presented the developments on research, sponsored project, consultancy and faculty development at the School.
After each presentation, the experts made their queries which were answered satisfactorily by the coordinators and Dean of the School. The session ended with a final audit report compilation by the auditors. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Tapan Kumar Bastia, FIC-QA Cell of the School
