“A good teacher is like a candle, it consumes itself to light the way for others”. Dr. Sarvepali Radhakrishnan, 2nd President of India was born on 5th September 1888 his birthday is celebrated as Teachers Day since 1962. The students of Kalinga institute of Nursing Sciences, KIIT Deemed to be University celebrated Teachers Day with zeal and zest on 5th September 2019. The programme started at 3 pm with Guru Bandana recited by GNM students followed by speech highlighting the contribution of teachers to shape the students future. Prof.(Mrs.) Amarita Lenka, Principal, KINS addressed the gathering and lauded the entire staff for their exemplary contribution towards the students achievements and success. Madam extolled the role of teachers in students life. The programme came to an end with cutting the cake and sweet distribution to all. The Principal & faculty members were overwhelmed by the efforts and love shown by the students.
